My last few weeks in SF have been filled with fun!  I have had a really wonderful time in SF.  I am elated to be going home, but of course sad too.  Here is my last few weeks in SF via photo dump!!

Mom came to visit and help me pack.  I thanked her with this amazing dinner!!

Let's hope I look like her at that age!!

Things I'll Miss About SF

I am moving home to LA in less than two weeks.  I am SOO excited to be home and see people and settle into a routine there.  However, I am also really sad to be leaving so many wonderful people, places (and restaurants) behind.  It is the end of an era, which is always bittersweet.

Of course I will miss seeing my amazing co-workers every day and my amazing friends the rest of the time.

co-workers

one of my sweet girls, Emily

my diva, Miss Kelin

Autumn, me, Sarah and Cara

Some other things I will miss are:
  • Running along the beach with the Golden Gate Bridge as my view.
  • My apartment/living alone.
  • Afternoons in the park.
  • Walking everywhere.
  • Public transportation.
  • Crisp, fresh air.
  • Fashion- seeing well-dressed, fashion forward people and having a reason to get dressed up myself.
  • Amazing restaurants and bars everywhere.
  • Volunteering with Girls on the Run.
  • Being so close to Sonoma.
  • Always having some event to go to in SF.
  • Being around so many young, professional, intelligent, extremely motivated people.
  • My amazing book club.

Big change is always something I have struggled with (sensing my control issues much?).  This year I feel like literally every aspect of my life has changed and I didn't see any of it coming.  I am a bit emotionally exhausted from coping with and trying to learn from everything.

I am most excited to settle down and settle in with nothing big to expect.  These big changes are the mile markers of our lives.  They are necessary and so beautiful, but sometimes you just need to cruise a bit.

I am looking forward to spending my summer in the sun, cruising.

Weekend Review

Given that it is Thursday, I am a bit behind.  Story of my blog life!!

Friday night the girls and I relaxed.  We tried to watch the original Footloose, but I worked late and after 30 minutes I fell asleep.  Better luck next time!

Saturday morning I ditched the pups and went for a 3.5 mile run (which is long for me).  It was heavenly.  I will really miss this as the view for my runs.

Saturday I went to Sacramento to visit Cara.  We spent the afternoon by her pool drinking champs.  Sunshine + champagne = my heaven.

That night we had a delicious dinner and stayed up way too late talking.  It was wonderful!

Sunday I visited my other friends Garrett and Monica (and their sweet baby S) in Sacramento too.  We were supposed to go out for brunch.  When I got to their house, they had set a beautiful table and made the yummiest waffles, homemade lemon curd, fruit salad and french press coffee.  How amazing are they!?

And how freaking adorable is this little one!?

After brunch, I was able to stop and get my mom's Mother's Day present and bang out a ton of tasks I have been putting off (liking booking a moving truck and movers).

Guys, I am moving in two weeks!! How the heck did that happen so fast!?

This weekend my mom is coming to visit and to help me pack, then next weekend is my last weekend here in SF.  SOO EXCITED!

Playing Hooky

Yesterday it was in the 80s in SF.  That has literally happened twice (count that, TWO TIMES) since I moved here...which was over two years ago!!!  Because this is such a rare occasion, the SoCal girl in me got VERY excited.  There was no way I could spend this glorious day in the office.  So, I did what any hard working attorney would do, I "worked from home."

Now in all fairness, I did actually work.  Cutting out the commute and getting ready and working in the evening made it possible for me and the girls to enjoy this weather a bit.
My co-worker

What working from home looks like when you have no desk or table.

But then we transitioned to the park

The girls were so happy to be outside

I mean look at that face!
